According to preliminary data, as a result of this maneuver, the altitude of the ISS orbit increased by 900 m. Thus, the orbital parameters after correction are a minimum of 419.1 km and a maximum of 436.1 km.
The ISS was put into orbit in 1998. The station employs astronauts from different countries, including Russia, the USA, Japan, Canada, Germany, etc. They conduct experiments that would not be possible on Earth, for example, space exploration, research in the field of biology , physiology, etc. During the entire flight of the ISS, its orbit was adjusted 350 times.
October 27, head of Roscosmos Yuri Borisov statedthat the International Space Station is approaching the end of its operation – it has already exceeded all permissible lifespans. According to Borisov, 80% of Russian equipment on the ISS is beyond the warranty period.
