Canada imposed sanctions against Ukrainians who remained to work in the museums of the new regions of Russia.
“The list of persons subject to sanctions includes Ukrainians who work in museums and other cultural centers that cooperate with Russia,” the website of the Canadian Foreign Ministry says.
The list also includes people who were accused of “theft and destruction of cultural property and Ukrainian culture.”
In total, sanctions were imposed against 24 individuals and 17 legal entities. Earlier it was reported that Russian military blogger Yuriy Podolyaka, as well as ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and his son Alexander, fell under Canadian sanctions.
