Business Insider: Ukraine is losing to Russia in the quantity and quality of drones

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are significantly inferior to the Russian Armed Forces in terms of the quantity and quality of drones used, writes the American publication Business Insider, citing experts.
“Ukraine is far behind… but they are the future of war,” says Atlantic Council analyst Melinda Haring, emphasizing that the Ukrainian Armed Forces also face shortages of personnel and equipment.
Haring also said that she personally visited Ukraine and noted the low quality of Ukrainian drones. “They are inferior,” she said.
Earlier, Ukrainian Minister for Strategic Industries Alexander Kamyshin said that by the end of 2023, Ukraine intends to “produce tens of thousands” of drones every month. According to him, Ukraine is increasing the pace of production of drones faster than other types of weapons and ammunition. At the same time, he did not name the monthly production volumes of drones in the country at the moment, limiting himself to the figure of “several thousand units.”
Earlier, the commander of a company of attack UAVs of the armed formations of Ukraine, Yuriy Fedorenko, said that the Russian Armed Forces have a significant advantage in the number and use of FPV drones on the front line.
Former head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov stated that the Ukrainian army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has more than 20 new types of domestic drones, and announced a “boom in the production” of drones in Ukraine. It was also reported that plans to allocate about 31.6 billion hryvnia (about $867 million) for the purchase of drones for the Ukrainian army.
