Bryansk karatekas brought five medals from the World Championships

Bryansk athletes as part of the Russian team successfully performed in the program of the World All-Style Karate Championship, the press service of the administration of the regional center reported.
The large-scale tournament took place in Oryol and brought together representatives from 26 countries. Among them are Russia, Austria, Germany, Turkey, Greece, India, Cameroon, Benin, Congo, Cuba and others. More than 400 karatekas competed for championship in various age categories.
Four Bryansk residents also took part in the grand event. The students of the Spartak sports school demonstrated a good level of training and earned four top awards and one silver medal.
Among the men, the favorites were Maxim Sadovnikov (over 90 kg), Artem Pospelov (up to 65 kg), who competed in the category 18 years and older. In the same age category, Alexander Kozlov topped the podium twice, winning a gold medal in the weight category up to 80 kg and up to 83 kg.
Alexandra Vodopyanova took second place among women 18 years and older. The athlete took silver in the up to 70 kg category.
It should be added that the athletes train under the guidance of a top category coach, Dmitry Sadovnikov.
