A Vegas player hit Ovechkin in the throat with his stick in an NHL match

During the regular season of the National Hockey League, Russian hockey player Alexander Ovechkin was hit in the throat with a stick.
An unusual episode occurred in the first minute of the Washington Capitals – Vegas Golden Knights match. Canadian Vegas defenseman Braden McNabb struck Ovechkin in the neck with his stick, after which the forward collapsed to the ice.
