“Brought to the shooting on the bed”: unknown details of the last days of Gradsky

Alla Reid, a member of The Voice, believes that the singer dreamed of leaving like a real artist – on stage

More than a year has passed since Alexander Gradsky passed away. He died at the age of 73 from a cerebral infarction. The disease was caused, among other things, by the consequences of the transferred coronavirus. Alla Reid, a participant in the 4th season of the Voice project, remembered what the last days of Alexander Borisovich were like. In the tenth anniversary season of the vocal show, all those who worked in the “Voice” had the opportunity to observe the state of the maestro. Incredibly, despite feeling unwell, Gradsky still continued to take part in the project.

“In fact, we knew that he was ill,” Alla recalls. – He contracted the coronavirus, although we took care of him: he was mostly at home. But, of course, his immunity could not withstand even limited contact with people, plus his weight. I felt that when he came to the set of The Voice, something terrible was going to happen, I really had that feeling. Then I worked on the set already as a reporter, interviewed the participants of the new season. I saw how they brought him on the bed, I told everyone: “What are you doing? He will die now!” He was really, really bad. But I think he wanted such an ending. He loved this project so much as he could not imagine himself without creativity, without music, although he felt very bad. And that was his last wish: to leave the stage like a real artist.”
