In the near future, the St. Petersburg football club Zenit will announce the transfer of Brazilian national team defender Nino to the team, says journalist Fabio Aleixo in his Telegram channel. According to him, the amount of the deal between Zenit and Fluminense, for which Nino now plays, is close to €6 million.
26-year-old Nino began his club career in the second division team of the Brazilian championship, Crisium. Since 2019 he has been playing for the top division club Fluminense.
In 2021, Nino, as part of the Brazilian Olympic team (players under 23 years of age), took gold at the Olympics in Japan. In August 2023, the footballer was included in the senior national team for the first time for two qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup against Bolivia and Peru.
