A court in Brazil has ruled to unblock Telegram in the country, RT reports.
Restrictions were introduced on April 26 due to the incompleteness of the data provided on extremist communities at the request of the police. Pavel Durov said earlier that he would appeal the verdict. The creator of the messenger stated this in his channel, promising to “protect Brazilian users and their right to private communication.”
According to CNN Brazil, the court considered the previous decision unreasonable, but upheld a daily fine of 1 million reais (more than 16 million rubles) for failure to provide information requested by the investigation. We are talking about the phone numbers of administrators of neo-Nazi communities.
