Boxing competition in memory of Artem Lavrov started in Krasnodar

On the small arena of the Krasnodar “Basket Hall” All-Russian competitions in boxing class “A” began. They are dedicated to the memory of the Honored Coach of the USSR Artem Lavrov.
The tournament brought together 117 athletes and sportswomen from 24 regions of Russia. Age of participants from 19 to 40 years. The decisive battles will take place on February 4th. According to the results of the tournament, the most distinguished boxers can receive the title of Master of Sports of Russia.
Artem Lavrov is the most famous boxing coach in the Kuban. He worked not only in the Krasnodar Territory, but also successfully led the USSR national team. Being the head coach of the team, he led it to the title of the strongest at the European Championships 4 times. Artem Alexandrovich passed away in 2011 when he was 78 years old.
Earlier it became known that the Kuban boxers Muslim Gadzhimagomedov and Anastasia Shamonova in the Russian national team will speak at an international tournament in Morocco.
