Alexander Kokorin: every normal man should serve time

Russian football player Alexander Kokorin said that every normal man should serve time in prison. He called this experience “a good school”. In May 2019, the court sentenced Kokorin to one and a half years in prison under articles on battery and hooliganism. Five months later, he was released on parole.
“How can you be sorry? It’s all happened already. It’s a great experience, a good school. I once said that every normal guy and man should serve time in order to recover a little. You need to do a life hack: to bring the guys who have swum a little – for a month or two in a pre-trial detention center, ”said the footballer in an interview published on the YouTube channel “Super League”.
In October 2018, Pavel Mamaev, brothers Alexander and Kirill Kokorin, and their friend Alexander Protasovitsky beat the driver of Channel One host Vitaly Solovchuk and got into a fight with Denis Pak, an official of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. In May 2020, Alexander and Kirill Kokorins were sentenced to a year and a half in prison, and Pavel Mamaev and Alexander Protasovitsky to a year and five months. All defendants were released on parole.
Currently, Kokorin plays for the Cypriot football club Aris, to which he transferred on loan from the Italian Fiorentina in August 2022. Pavel Mamaev left Khimki near Moscow in early June last year and is now in the status of a free agent.
