Borisov spoke about the not very good personnel condition of the rocket and space industry

The general director of Roskosmos, Yuri Borisov, said that the rocket and space industry in Russia is not in a very good personnel and financial condition. Also, according to him, Roskosmos is working on contracts for the launch of space satellites with Algeria, Vietnam, Myanmar, the Central African Republic and other countries.

He added that the state corporation is going to open four or five innovative projects, to which it plans to attract young people. According to him, within one of them they will work on the creation of a multi-satellite constellation.

Sergei Borisov also said that Russia will not self-isolate in space. According to him, the countries of Asia, Africa and Europe are ready to work with Roscosmos. Mr. Borisov explained that China is interested in Russian competencies in the creation of rocket engines.

“Even this isolation, which is imposed on us by the G7 (G7 countries.— “b”) and the United States did not scare away a number of countries, such as Algeria, Myanmar, Vietnam, Egypt, South Africa, which are working with us on various kinds of contracts for launching satellites that we are developing on their order and will put into orbit, ”he said.

Sergei Borisov added that the Zeus nuclear tug being developed in Russia could be used in the Russian-Chinese lunar program to deliver bulky cargo to the moon.

“To fly to the moon, you need a carrier of a completely different plan – a superheavy one. We need to deliver a large cargo there, and if we are still going to land, and in the future, expand the construction of a lunar station, we need to deliver a sufficient amount of cargo, we need to take care of the power supply of the future station. And apart from nuclear energy, it is almost impossible to do. Russia has an unconditional priority today in the world in the field of nuclear space energy,” said the head of the state corporation.

It is planned to complete the implementation of the Zeus tugboat, according to him, by 2030. Mr. Borisov also said that Roskosmos plans to drastically increase its orbital constellation: production of 250-300 spacecraft per year by 2025, and by 2030 – one satellite per day.
