A connoisseur of the television club “What? Where? When?” and a participant in other intellectual games, Ukrainian TV presenter Boris Burda is from Odessa, but since the beginning of the special operation of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, he has kept silent about what is happening in the country. It was not until mid-September that he spoke about the situation while abroad.
In a recent interview on the YouTube platform, Burda, who left for Spain the day before the start of the special operation and lives there to this day, said that “terrible and extremely dangerous things are happening in his homeland at the moment.” According to the TV presenter, the current situation cannot end in anything good.
Burda emphasized that all this represents one trouble and one minus. He admits that he sincerely would like the situation to end, and end well. The TV presenter believes that any other desires are now “so petty and uninteresting” that he is even embarrassed to talk about them.
However, Burda is convinced that what is happening in Ukraine does not at all demonstrate the real state of relations between the peoples of the two countries. According to the TV presenter, the current conflict is only about “the relations of the ruling elites,” however, Burda considers Russia to be the one to blame for what is happening in his homeland.
