The American corporation Apple can present a virtual and mixed reality headset in the spring ahead of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which will be held in June. About it reported Bloomberg agency.
According to the current plan, Apple may introduce a mixed reality headset called Reality Pro. Later in June, developers will be able to familiarize themselves with the features of its software. The device should go on sale in the fall.
August 29, 2022 Apple via third party filed applications for the registration of three trademarks Reality Pro, Reality One and Reality Processor in the jurisdictions of different countries, including the UK, Canada, the USA, the European Union, etc. At that time, the applications were not approved.
It was clarified that the company that acts on behalf of Apple could be Immersive Health Solutions LLC, registered in February by another shell company Corporation Trust Co. from Delaware. The latter is commonly used for filing by firms seeking to avoid detection. According to Bloomberg, a similar scheme has taken place before – when registering the RealityOS trademark for software.
Apple’s headset is expected to integrate virtual and augmented reality technologies, allowing the company to compete more closely with leading virtual reality equipment supplier Meta Platforms Inc. (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).
