Bloomberg: Apple will delay the release of the new iPadOS

Apple will delay the release of the new operating system for iPad tablets and release iPadOS 16 a month later than iOS 16 for iPhone smartphones, reports Bloomberg.
According to the publication’s editor Mark Gurman, Apple has encountered problems in preparing a new operating system. A massive update to tablet functionality has resulted in the new operating system being full of bugs, a confusing interface, and not being compatible with most iPads, requiring more time to fix bugs identified during beta testing.
According to Mr. Gurman, Apple decided to postpone iPadOS 16 until October – this will allow us to focus maximum efforts on iOS 16, scheduled for release in September, and then focus on finalizing the operating system for tablets. In addition, this will provide an opportunity to release iPadOS 16 closer to the release of new iPads.
Recall that Apple traditionally releases new versions of operating systems in September. In 2022, only iOS 16 and watchOS 9 are expected to be released in September, while iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura will be released in October.
