Bloomberg: Apple has delayed the release of mixed reality glasses

Apple has delayed the release of mixed reality glasses, reports Bloomberg. According to the publication’s editor Mark Gurman, Apple will release the first mixed reality headset in its history in two versions – top-end and simplified. The flagship headset is expected to premiere later this year, with a cheaper, simpler version of the accessory to hit the market in 2024 or 2025.

Prior to this, the American company led the project of mixed reality glasses, which, according to Apple’s idea, would allow users to wear them throughout the day. But due to unnamed technical problems, the release of the accessory was first delayed for several years, and now the company has completely minimized work on this project.

Recall that earlier informationthat Apple will introduce a headset of its own design in the spring of this year, ahead of the annual Worldwide Developers Conference in June. This will allow software developers to prepare applications for the new device before it goes on sale in the fall.
