Specialists of the Moscow Municipal Economy Complex completed the first stage of landscaping near the Klenovy Bulvar station of the Big Circle Metro Line (BKL) in the south of the city. This was told by Deputy Mayor of Moscow Pyotr Biryukov.
“The main task is to equip comfortable walking routes from the BKL station to residential areas and the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve, which will make it easier for numerous visitors to get to it,” he said.
The improvement zone included Zatonnaya and Rechnikov streets. In the station area, overhead lines were removed underground, and an additional drainage network was also laid. Pavements with a total area of 5.7 thousand square meters have been replaced, ramps have been installed, asphalt on the roadway has been updated. In addition, eight modern stopping pavilions appeared there.
Biryukov added that at the second stage of improvement, it is planned to replace the lights at the BKL station, install benches, flower vases and five information steles. 24 contrast lighting poles will appear at pedestrian crossings, which will allow the zebra and the person on it to be more visible to drivers at night.
At the final stage, a lawn with a total area of almost 30 thousand square meters and about 130 new trees will appear near the metro. The work is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2023.
