Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov said that billions will be needed to stabilize the heating situation in houses in the city of Klimovsk. Money, he said, needs to be invested in the housing and communal services system.

“We have to bring everything to fruition. This will require significant funds from us – these are billions of rubles that we must invest here in order to stabilize the situation here,” the governor said on the Rossiya 24 TV channel (quoted from “RIA News”).

He added that the Moscow authorities helped in solving the problem of lack of heating in Klimovsk. Payment for electricity in the Moscow region, according to Andrei Vorobyov, will be taken according to December bills. Previously, he promised that the heat supply to all houses in Klimovsk would be restored by the evening of January 9.

Residents of 173 apartment buildings in Klimovsk were left without heating on January 4 due to an accident in the boiler room. City authorities introduced local emergency situation. January 9 Andrey Vorobiev statedthat they want to nationalize the Klimovsky Cartridge Plant, where the boiler house is located.

Previously without heating also remained microdistrict in Dmitrov near Moscow. On January 9 in Nakhodka, Primorsky Territory, due to an accident in utility networks without heat supply left more than 6 thousand residents of 88 apartment buildings. In Novosibirsk, due to the consequences of bad weather, about 7 thousand people were left without electricity.
