He also doubts that all countries will join the suspension of research.
On March 22, over a thousand AI experts, joined by Elon Musk, published an open letter. In it, they called for a moratorium on training systems more powerful than GPT-4 for at least six months. Scientists believe that an uncontrolled process in this area can pose a threat to humanity. And the break is proposed to be used for the joint development of common security protocols by experts. In addition, the authors of the appeal proposed the creation of regulatory bodies in the field of AI.
ChatGPT by OpenAI was launched at the end of November last year. The service interacts with the user in a dialog mode. The chatbot is able to answer additional questions, admit its mistakes, reject inappropriate requests, etc. The capabilities of the service impressed the general public, including in Russia.
