The operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to encircle Bakhmut (Artemovsk) “bogged down,” said BILD military observer Julian Repke.
Ryopke analyzed footage from the village of Kleshcheevka, which is south of Bakhmut and is controlled by Russia. It is noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced in the area of the village, but then they had to leave their positions.
According to the expert, despite the use of a dozen armored vehicles and dozens of soldiers, Kyiv failed to take control of the village. North of Bakhmut, Ukraine also stopped advancing a few weeks ago.
“Thus, the announced operation to “bypass and encircle Bakhmut” bogged down. And it is unclear whether Ukraine has the strength, assault equipment and political will to resume the counteroffensive in the area, ”the observer concluded.
