Biden: Humanitarian pause needed in Gaza to rescue hostages

CNBC reports that US President Joe Biden, during a campaign event in Minnesota, spoke in favor of a humanitarian pause in the Gaza Strip.
It is noted that the American leader’s speech was interrupted by a woman who introduced herself as a rabbi and called for a ceasefire in order to save the lives of civilians in the Gaza Strip. She emphasized that if Biden cares about the Jewish people, then she, as a rabbi, asks to call for an immediate ceasefire. The woman was subsequently identified as Jewish Voice for Peace activist Jessica Rosenberg.
In response to this, the US President announced the need for a pause in the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian radical group Hamas. Biden clarified that the pause means time to free the captives.
