United States President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak held talks on the Ukrainian crisis and spoke in favor of maintaining assistance to Kyiv, while not talking about specific prospects for the inclusion of the republic in the bloc.
“They discussed progress in the counter-offensive and stressed the importance of (Ukraine’s) international partners committing to its long-term defense,” the statement said.
At the same time, a representative of Sunak, quoted by Reuters, noted that the United Kingdom approves of Ukraine’s membership in the alliance, but a specific plan for entry is subject to discussion.
Earlier, the White House said that Biden will be in Europe from July 9 to 13.
