SKA will not be able to continue the fight for the Gagarin Cup due to biased decisions of the referees who judged the team’s matches. This statement was made by the head of the SKA Board of Directors, Alexander Medvedev. His opinion appeared on the club’s website.

He noted that the judges did not objectively evaluate the St. Petersburg team’s play all season, and “the fifth match of the series with Avtomobilist only confirmed this.” We are talking about the removal of Serebryakov, who, according to Medvedev, “played the puck clearly.”

He emphasized that more than 20 thousand people in the arena saw what was happening. Medvedev recalled Gritsyuk’s removal in the last game, which surprised the entire hockey community. He called refereeing decisions questionable throughout the season and noted that players get injured for a reason. Medvedev hinted at fouls missed by the referees.

“This cannot be explained in any other way other than bias,” – he emphasized.

“MK in St. Petersburg” previously said that the army team has a chance win in the game with Avtomobilist.
