Before her death, Svetlana Morgunova led a virtually reclusive lifestyle. The TV presenter did not appear in public and practically did not communicate with journalists. “Given the sad state of Svetlana Mikhailovna’s health, of course, it was sometimes difficult for all of us to communicate with her,” says Berezin. “She might remember you, or she might not.” One day I called: “Svetochka, what do you want?” And she replied: “Thank you, Vovus, thank you. I need nothing. I have everything”. And hung up. It was her way: she lost interest.

“But it’s also wrong to say that everyone has turned away from her,” Berezin continues. – Andrei Malakhov went to visit her last year: he filmed a wonderful program dedicated to Svetlana. Klara Novikova was always in touch with Svetlana. Although recently she also complained: “Vova, you know, sometimes it’s not easy for me to call her, because it’s getting more and more difficult to talk to her.” They also had warm, friendly relations with director Lyubov Grechishnikova.

“Nelly and Kobzon’s entire office were always in touch,” Berezin continues to list the stars. – They were aware of everything that happened in Morgunova’s life. We were all in touch with Sveta. She picked up the phone. And then often everything depended on her mood and well-being.

“But, of course, the closest person to Sveta was her granddaughter Dashenka,” Berezin assures. – Sveta always reacted to Dasha brightly and joyfully. Until the last day she was proud of Dasha and talked about all her successes. We felt that Dasha was directly associated with her son Maxim, who left us several years ago due to coronavirus. Sveta said: “When I talk to Dasha, it’s as if I’m talking to Max.” Sveta also treated her daughter-in-law Lenochka with tenderness and warmth. But Dashenka was closest to her.
