Belgorod schools will start the new academic year in full-time format – Kommersant

48 educational institutions of Belgorod will start working in full-time format from September 1. How told in the city hall, 40,000 schoolchildren, including 3,000 first-graders, will sit at their desks. Also, from August 1, 67 kindergartens in Belgorod will return to full operation.

Capital repairs are currently being completed in ten schools. By the beginning of the academic year, furniture, computer and technological equipment, textbooks and visual aids were purchased. The costs amounted to 300 million rubles. At the beginning of the week, the acceptance committee began work. Officials note that the main task of the academic year will be to strengthen anti-terrorist security against the backdrop of shelling from Ukraine. As “Kommersant” saidlessons in schools will begin with 15-minute briefings and trainings, during which children will be explained the rules of evacuation and the basics of first aid.

Previously, the authorities of the region have developed several models for the work of educational institutions in the region. So, for example, schools within a 20-kilometer zone from the border with Ukraine will continue to work remotely, as they did last year. In border areas, this format will be combined with face-to-face. During a report to the deputies at the end of April, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that during the year shells fired from Ukraine damaged 57 schools and kindergartens.
