Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov informed in his Telegram channel about a meeting with relatives of mobilized residents of the region who complained about the transfer from the territorial defense to the assault brigade.
Belgorod residents recorded video messagein which they said that they were called up to the territorial defense of the region, but in early March they were transferred to the Donetsk People’s Republic in an assault brigade.
One of the soldiers said that the personnel suffered heavy losses because they were not properly trained. According to him, military tickets were confiscated from the men. He stressed that the mobilized are ready to carry out combat missions only as part of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
According to the regional authorities, the authors of the appeal are not related to the regional voluntary territorial self-defense and were called up as part of partial mobilization. At the headquarters emphasizedthat the procedure for the formation and disbandment of military units and the redeployment of troops is regulated exclusively by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, and not by regional authorities.
Nevertheless, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that at a meeting with the relatives of the servicemen he tried to calm them down: “Today I am sending my representative to our guys. We will promptly share all information with all relatives.” The official added that the authorities had made all the necessary inquiries to the Ministry of Defense and the military prosecutor’s office.
Partial mobilization in Russia was carried out from September 21 to October 28. The Ministry of Defense stated that 300 thousand people were drafted into the army.
