Belgorod authorities have denied road closures in the region – Kommersant

Minister of Transport of the Belgorod Region Sergei Yevtushenko called messages on social networks about road closures in the region fake. The official asked residents of the region not to succumb to provocations and to trust official information.

“Residents of the region can move along all roads, traffic has not been closed anywhere,” Mr. Yevtushenko wrote on his page “In contact with”.

The Minister of Digital Development of the Belgorod Region, Sergei Chetverikov, also reported that a number of government electronic services were attacked, including an electronic document management service, in which a fake emergency alert was distributed allegedly on behalf of the governor. The governor publishes all official addresses on his social media accounts.

The Belgorod region is regularly subjected to shelling and attacks from Ukraine. Today, March 12, two people were injured as a result of shelling in the city of Shebekino. There are reports on social networks about shootouts with saboteurs on the border with Ukraine. There is no official confirmation of this information.
