Belarusian universities will accept Russians based on the Unified State Exam results for state-funded places

Starting from 2024, Russian applicants can enroll in a budget-funded form of education at Belarusian universities based on the results of a unified state exam, said the Minister of Education of Belarus Andrei Ivanets. Since 2023, such applicants have been admitted to a paid form of education.
There are about 1 thousand budget places available for Russians. After studying at a university, you need to work for two years at enterprises and organizations in Belarus. “Enrollment in a budget-funded form of education for these children based on the results of the Unified State Exam provides for the same obligations that our children from Belarus bear today. Namely, this is a two-year work experience at enterprises and organizations of our country,” Mr. Ivanets told reporters (quoted from BELTA).
During his address to the Federal Assembly, President Vladimir Putin proposed allowing students the opportunity to elect to retake the Unified State Exam in one of the subjects. Rosobrnadzor intends to approve the Unified State Exam schedule, taking into account retakes, by the end of April.
