An agreement on a $1.5 billion loan for import substitution projects between Minsk and Moscow could be signed in early September. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Nikolai Snopkov at the opening ceremony of the renovated pavilion of Belarus at VDNKh in Moscow.
“Belarus and Russia intend to conclude an agreement on a loan in the amount of $1.5 billion for the implementation of import-substituting projects in early September,” the official said. BELTA.
Former Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko declaredthat the draft agreement with Moscow on a $1.5 billion loan is in its final stages. He also said that in 2022 Belarus and Russia will launch seven urgent import substitution projects worth $330 million.
