Belarus ratified an agreement on the creation of combat training centers with Russia

Belarus has ratified an agreement with Russia on the establishment of combat training centers for joint military training. About it reported press service of the President of the Republic.
“The agreement governs the creation and operation of combat training centers based on military units in Belarus and Russia, determines their main tasks and the procedure for interaction between the ministries of defense in organizing the comprehensive provision of these centers,” the representative office explained.
On October 10, 2022, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko agreed with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on the deployment of a joint regional group of troops. Lukashenka instructed to deploy a small part of the Russian military in the territory of the republic.
By the end of the same month, Lukashenka approved a draft agreement with Russia on the establishment of joint combat training centers for the military of the two countries. Then the head of the republic also authorized the country’s Ministry of Defense to negotiate with the Russian side on this agreement, making changes to it that are not of fundamental importance. Upon reaching an agreement between the two sides, the Ministry of Defense is authorized to sign it.
