The name of Bedros Kirkorov did not leave the front pages of the media all week. The reason was the appearance of information that the 90-year-old artist was admitted to the Sklifosovsky Institute with a serious illness. There was talk that he was diagnosed with pneumonia. However, conflicting information from different sources appeared every few hours. “Moskovsky Komsomolets”, in order to avoid rumors, got through to the singer himself and found out the details of what happened.
– Bedros, all our readers are worried about your health: what happened to you?
“I was in the hospital for two days. The fact is that they did a blockade on my leg, and it didn’t work out very well, there was a very strong pain, so I went to the hospital. But now I’m at home.
What about lung problems? The internet is full of these headlines.
– You see, I have old diseases that raise doubts in the pictures of the doctors. A sore from childhood leaves its traces: calcium deposits give suspicion of pneumonia. When I explained my situation, the doctors looked at my picture in more detail and saw that it was so, the diagnosis of pneumonia was removed. No temperature. How many times have I been in such a situation that when doctors see that the pictures are dark, they diagnose pneumonia, and this is just calcium.
– How did your son support you in this situation?
– Philip was very worried, because he was also not in Moscow. And then they inflated it … I recently read that while Philip was walking around construction sites, a beam fell on his left shoulder. He said he broke his collarbone. I’m calling – and he sits at home, drinks tea, everything is all right with him. There are such messages. Thanks to the readers for worrying, but I can say that everything is fine with me.
– Now someone comes to visit you, visits?
– Well, Philip is always full of guests (Bedros often lives in Philip’s house. – Note. ed.). So they are not my guests, but they become my guests too.
We know that you have recently had a pacemaker installed. How is the heart working now?
– Everything is fine. But do not think that this procedure is suitable for everyone: you came to the doctor – put a pacemaker. You have to set it when you need it. When your heart rate is 40-45 – you can live in peace, but when 25-30 – have to think about it already. I went to the doctor, and he determined that it was time to put.
Are you already making plans for the New Year?
– Yes, I want to do some concerts – let’s see. I will do performances with young singers. They are unknown, but will be known.
