The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, asked for information on how the criminal case is being investigated into the torture of a child in the Chelyabinsk region.
Earlier it was reported about the initiation of a criminal case against a 47-year-old resident of Magnitogorsk, who is suspected of torturing, as well as intentionally causing grievous bodily harm to a minor.
Investigators found that the woman repeatedly beat her 8-year-old son, causing him a facial injury. Currently, the guardianship authorities have transferred the boy to his grandmother in another region of the country. The issue of choosing a preventive measure against the suspect and bringing charges is being decided.
Bastrykin instructed the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Chelyabinsk Region, Reshetnikov, to submit a report on the circumstances of the incident.
