Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin said that the number of suicides among minors in 2022 decreased by 10% compared to the previous year. In 2021, the TFR recorded 753 cases of juvenile suicides.
“There is a decrease of almost 10% in the number of minors who died as a result of suicide,” Mr. Bastrykin said in an interview. “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.
According to the TFR data, which are given in report Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova, from 2019 to 2021 the number of suicide attempts among minors increased by 13% – from 3253 to 3675 cases. The number of retries increased by 92.6% (from 188 to 362 cases).
