The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR), Alexander Bastrykin, instructed his subordinates to initiate a criminal case on the fact of improper provision of services by the Red Wings airline due to delays and cancellation of the carrier’s flights. From August 12 to August 14, his clients could not fly from the airports of Yekaterinburg and Turkish Antalya.

“The head of the department instructed the head of the Western ICUT of the Russian Investigative Committee, Vymentets, to initiate a criminal case on the fact of improper provision of services by the Red Wings airline,” reports the official site TFR.

Earlier it became known that the Red Wings flight from Antalya, which was delayed since August 12, arrived to Yekaterinburg only on August 15th. In addition, a flight from Yekaterinburg to Antalya, which was supposed to fly to the Turkish city on August 13, was delayed for a day. The Red Wings reported that the delay of both flights was due to the failure of two of the three Boeing 777 aircraft.

Assistance in the export of passengers is provided by the airline “Ikar”. According to Red Wings, Icarus will operate seven flights in total to carry the company’s passengers. The Red Wiings Telegram channel reports that the carrier is going to return to its standard schedule from 11:00 Moscow time on August 16. “Red Wings employees have made every possible effort to create comfortable conditions and correct the situation associated with flight delays,”— add in company.
