Basketball Spartakiad started at Novgorod State University

The qualifying round games for the men’s basketball Spartakiad were held at the Physical Culture and Sports Complex of Novgorod State University. This was reported in the press service of the university.
Teams from seven NovSU institutes took part in the competition and competed in two groups. In group “A” the team from the Pedagogical Institute won first place, the team from the Law Institute took second place, and the team from the Institute of Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering took third place.
In group “B” the team of the Institute of Medical Education took the lead. Second place went to the team from the Institute of Electronic and Information Systems. The third place was taken by the team from the Humanitarian Institute.
It is reported that the final games of the Spartakiad for first to sixth place will be held on March 1.
Earlier, “MK in Veliky Novgorod” reported that the final of the regional stage of the IES-BASKET School Basketball League championship took place in the regional center.
