Banksy’s identity may be revealed due to lawsuit

The anonymity of the British street artist known as Banksy may be exposed due to a libel lawsuit in which he is a defendant. The Daily Mail writes about this.
The lawsuit was filed by entrepreneur Andrew Gallagher. This is the second court case in which Banksy has come under the spotlight. The previous case concerned trademark copyright, and then he managed to maintain anonymity.
It is interesting that allegations about the artist’s real name have previously appeared in the media. Supposedly his name is Robin Gunningham, he is a native of Bristol. However, this version has not been officially confirmed.
Banksy’s work has been displayed in museums around the world. Recently, one of his murals, “Valentine’s Day Mascara,” weighing nearly four tons, was carried by crane to an exhibition in London.
