American mixed-style fighter (MMA) Ryan Bader said that he and Fedor Emelianenko actually received more prize money after the fight than the amounts announced immediately after the fight.
MMAFighting previously reported, citing the California State Athletic Commission, that Bader’s fee was $150,000 and the Russian fighter $100,000.
“No, I earned much more,” said the winner of the fight. “No, I wouldn’t fight for that kind of money,” said Bader, quoted by MMAFighting. “I earn such money that it is difficult to refuse,” the American added, without disclosing the amount of money earned. “I know Fedor is treated even better,” he added.
The Bellator Heavyweight Champion defeated Emelianenko via TKO. This fight for Emelianenko Sr. was the last in his professional career.
