Avtodor will apply experimental markings on a number of sections of its routes, which should help drivers maintain a safe distance. The markup is horizontal and is a series of arrows or checkmarks (chevrons).
The safe distance on the road is half the speed limit. For sections with a speed limit of 110 km / h, this is 55 m, for sections with 130 km / h – 65 m. Seeing two chevrons in front of him to the car in front, the driver will understand that he is keeping the required distance.
Experimental markings will be applied on eight sections of the tracks. Two of them are located in the Moscow region on the Central Ring Road (TsKAD), four – on the M-4 Don highway in the Lipetsk, Voronezh and Rostov regions. The remaining two are sections of the M-11 Neva in the Tver and Leningrad regions.
To inform motorists that they are entering a section with markings to maintain distance, appropriate road signs will be installed. The use of this markup is agreed with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, specified in press release.
In 2022, the number of fines imposed by the traffic police on violators of traffic rules for the first time exceeded 200 million. According to the report of the State traffic inspectorate, more than a third of the fines are in Moscow and the Moscow region. At the same time, the number of debtors who did not pay the resolutions also increased: bailiffs, based on materials from the traffic police, initiated 12.8% more enforcement proceedings, recovering more than 17 billion rubles from citizens.
