Avangard forward included in the list of the most overrated players in the KHL

Sport Express presented the results of a survey of KHL club leaders. Some of the fans’ answers were surprising.

The Sport Express publication published the results of the anonymous voting. It was attended by the heads of 21 KHL clubs – presidents, sporting directors and general managers (one per team). They answered 49 questions about league regulations, arenas, clubs, coaches and players. Note that two clubs refused to participate in the voting – Lokomotiv and Severstal.

As for Avangard: forward Vladimir Tkachev was noted in several categories. Thus, representatives of four clubs said that he would become the top scorer of the season. The striker won the “Most Technical Player in the League” category, receiving five votes.

In addition, the heads of the two clubs named Vladimir Tkachev and Igor Geraskin as the most overrated players in the league (each with a vote). Three respondents reported that they were ready to accept Tkachev into their teams. It is curious that Avangard forward Reed Boucher was named the best foreign player in the KHL by four leaders. Three noted that the hockey player has the best wrist shot in the league, and the same number said that the American has the best flick.

The respondents also remembered the former coaches of the Omsk HC. Thus, three named Bob Hartley the best coach in the history of the KHL, and two more called Valery Belousov.

Only one of the leaders awarded the victory in the Gagarin Cup to Avangard. But the G-Drive Arena was named the best in the league by representatives of 16 clubs. At the same time, 13 teams believe that the Omsk arena has the best guest locker room, two – that the ice is of the highest quality.

Earlier it was reported that Omsk Avangard cut off 10-match winning streak defeat in Ufa, and also that the team started look for a replacement defender Ziyat Paygin.
