Athletes of the North-West Federal District with special health conditions competed in Monchegorsk

Monchegorsk hosted the championship of the Northwestern Federal District in table sports for people with disabilities, the Ministry of Sports of the Murmansk Region reports.

The competitions were held at the Polaris Center from 10 to 11 August. They were attended by six teams from the Murmansk, Leningrad and Kaliningrad regions, as well as St. Petersburg.

All three places in the jaccolo were taken by representatives of the Kaliningrad region. The best players in novuss were residents of the Leningrad region and St. Petersburg, in cornhole – in the Kaliningrad and Murmansk regions.

Olenegorsk Viktor Verin won the second place. Recall that cornhole is an American game. Participants need to score 21 points by alternately throwing a bag of corn into a special hole.

At the end of the competition, the athletes were given a tour of Olenegorsk, where a celebration dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the All-Russian Society of the Disabled took place.
