The Athletics Championship of Siberia and the Far East presented the national team of Buryatia with 20 gold medals. The competitions were held in neighboring Irkutsk, according to the Ministry of Sports of the Republic.

In the team standings, the team of Buryatia took the 2nd place. They lost to the hosts of the competition, but left behind the teams of Krasnoyarsk, Bratsk, Angarsk, Cheremkhovo, Shelekhovo, Blagoveshchensk and Khabarovsk.

According to the results of the competition, the winners will be able to compete at the Russian Championship among veterans. It will be held in Penza from March 30 to April 2.
