Athletes from Buryatia showed the best results at the table tennis championship of the Far East, which was held in the Trans-Baikal Territory. The competition ended with a crushing victory for the national team of our republic, according to the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports.
The championship was held in Chita and 160 athletes from eight regions fought for the title of winners. Boys and girls from Buryatia in the age category “up to 16 years old” occupied the entire podium in almost all awards. They won not only in team competitions, but also in singles.
As noted by the Minister of Sports and Youth Policy of the Republic of Buryatia Ivan Kozyrev, the main starts of Russia for the category “under 16” will soon take place and they will be held in Arkhangelsk.
– I am sure that the whole republic will closely follow the results, because at the district competitions, our athletes won tickets both in team and personal categories.
