Athletes from Volgograd won 340 medals at the 2023 competitions

Young Volgograd athletes showed brilliant results at national and international competitions. In total, over the past year they won 340 medals.
According to the Volgograd administration, students from municipal sports schools demonstrated their skills at Russian championships. The most impressive results were achieved by students of MBU DO SSHOR No. 16: 66 people became winners and prize-winners of competitions at various levels. Another 46 awards were brought by pupils of MBU DO SSHOR No. 15, and 38 athletes distinguished themselves in MBU DO SSHOR No. 8.
It is worth noting that our fellow countrymen won 18 medals in competitions in kickboxing and boxing, sports acrobatics, taekwondo, triathlon and diving. Based on the results of the all-Russian competitions, young Volgograd residents were awarded 231 medals.
Let us remind you that events aimed at developing mass and children’s sports continue in the Volgograd region. By decision of Governor Andrei Bocharov, new sports facilities, modern sports facilities and sites for passing GTO standards are being built in the region.
Previously, Volgograd residents were transferred bright sports results 2023. Local residents recognized the friendly match between the national teams of Russia and Cuba as the most large-scale and spectacular event of the past year.
