Athletes from Sakhalin won three medals at the Russian Karate Championship among the deaf

The Russian championship in sports for the deaf (karate) has ended in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Sakhalin karatekas Ivan Vlasov and Daniil Safin won three tournament medals, the press service of the regional Ministry of Sports reported.
Ivan Vlasov represented the region at the championship. He won gold and silver in two disciplines among boys 14-15 years old. Daniil Safin became a bronze medalist at the Russian Championship, confirming his qualifications as a master of sports.
150 athletes from 18 regions of the country took part in the competition. Among them are 11 Honored Masters of Sports of Russia, 13 Masters of Sports of international class, winners and prize-winners of the Deaflympics.
