The Laboratory of X-ray Solar Astronomy of the Institute of Space Research and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported that the probability of a magnetic storm on March 19, 2024 is 5 percent, and on March 20 – 15 percent.
It is assumed that a geomagnetic storm, if it occurs, will correspond to category G1, that is, it will be weak.
Powerful magnetic storms are not expected to occur in the coming days.
