Astrophysicists have removed the threat of a magnetic storm after a recent explosion on the Sun
Astrophysicists from the Solar X-ray Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences said that the explosion on the Sun, which turned out to be the most powerful in 7 years, will not lead to a magnetic storm on Earth.
There were no large emissions of substances into interplanetary space, astronomers said.
Increased solar activity may increase the geomagnetic background on Earth, but presumably will not cause geomagnetic storms in the coming days.
