Astrakhan handball players lost to Akbuzat in Ufa

In the final match of the regular championship of the men’s Russian Handball Super League, Dynamo Astrakhan met in the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan with local Akbuzat. Evgeny Dmitriev’s team lost with a score of 28:30.

The Astrakhan team opened the scoring in this match – Andrei Gordeev scored already in the 40th second. Throughout the first half there was a very stubborn fight – the teams took turns taking the lead. By the break, the handball players from the capital of the Caspian region led with a minimal advantage – 13:12.

The Ufa team played stronger in the 2nd half of the meeting. In the 48th minute the gap in the score reached 3 goals. Dynamo did not give up, and 4.5 minutes before the final siren, Sergei Kosenkov restored parity – 26:26.

However, at the end of the match, luck smiled on the home team – 30:28. The most productive member of the Astrakhan team was Andrey Gordeev, who scored 5 goals.

Dynamo took 8th place in the standings and will play against CSKA in the quarterfinal series.
