Artur Smolyaninov’s mother said he “learned a lesson for himself”

The mother of Russian actor Artur Smolyaninov told reporters that her son’s words in support of Ukraine could have been provoked and did not fully reflect his opinion. According to KP.RUthe woman said that she had repeatedly discussed the scandal around his statements with her son and that he himself “was not entirely satisfied with how the interview turned out.”

Also, the artist’s mother said that the authors of that conversation had a share of responsibility for the scandal, because “a person provokes and releases as it is” a record without sometimes necessary editing.

The actor’s mother also emphasized that the son did not renounce his native country at all and does not plan to join the hostilities now. According to her, Smolyaninov had in mind that he would take active steps only if “there is nothing left but to make a choice on which side to fight.”
