Since the beginning of the Azerbaijani military operation in Nagorno-Karabakh, 32 people have been killed, including two children. Over 200 more people were injured, Armenian Ombudsman Anahit Manasyan said on Facebook (belongs to Meta, a banned and recognized extremist organization in Russia).
“The armed forces of Azerbaijan use large-caliber weapons and artillery against the civilian population. During the shelling, 32 people were killed. Of these, seven are civilians, including two children. More than 200 people were injured, including 35 civilians, 13 of whom were children,” the Ombudsman said.
Manasyan added that residential buildings and cars came under shelling in Nagorno-Karabakh. Among other things, the ambulance that was supposed to pick up the bodies of eight victims in Martakert was hit.
Azerbaijan announced the start of “anti-terrorist measures” necessary for the “restoration of the constitutional order” in Nagorno-Karabakh on September 19. And on September 20, the unrecognized republic announced the conclusion of agreements on a complete ceasefire and disarmament of troops with the participation of peacekeepers from Russia.
