And the very next day the VII International Hippocratic Medical Forum took place, where deputies, priests, and doctors discussed what exactly needs to be done to increase the reproductive potential of the nation.
Chastity, as it turns out, may be a key factor in the reproductive health of the younger generation.
Ideally, young Russian men and women should preserve their innocence before marriage, as their ancestors did and therefore had no problems with STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), conception, or pregnancy.
You should part with your virginity only after stamping it in your passport, understanding why and why you are doing it. And immediately after that, start a large large family, which the President spoke about in his Address.
“We need to prepare a program to encourage teenage chastity in high school, describe point by point how we could see the directions of this work to cultivate teenage chastity. Create a youth subculture of preserving chastity,” says Archpriest Igor Aksenov, chairman of the department of religious education and catechesis of the Vyborg diocese, rector of St. Elias Church in Vyborg, who spoke at such a representative forum.
According to the priest’s proposal, it would be a good idea to distribute “virginity T-shirts” with appropriate symbols among teenagers, for example, with the inscription “I’m waiting for my true love,” as well as pendants and chastity rings.
By the way, everything new is well forgotten old. Such rings were already a trend in America in the 2000s; young artists were required to wear them by corporations specializing in children’s films to create a positive image among family audiences.
The stars later gave interviews that they were obliged to wear jewelry in public, as prescribed by the contract, including having to deceive that there were no intimate relationships, although they existed, to endure ridicule from colleagues about their belated virginity… But they also put on chastity belts if their career and salary depended on it.
But we are not in the West. We will probably do everything honestly and without hypocrisy.
The enemy of chastity, from the point of view of many experts, is sex education. But here we must also not overdo it, otherwise young people may end up never knowing where children come from… How then can we raise the demographics?
Many problems of the Russian family stem from the fact that we do not have a legal understanding of the family, deputies believe.
That is, the responsibilities of moms and dads are through the roof, but no one knows about their rights. Do they exist and what are they? All this must be spelled out in the law.
“In the coming years, the guardianship and trusteeship authorities, as well as commissions for minors, must be reformed,” says forum participant, State Duma deputy Irina Filatova.
She believes that these structures should be within the framework of the original function for which they were created: caring for orphans, children left without parental care, and not taking children away from their families for no reason. This is also happening everywhere today. Moreover, parents, especially non-working ones, are awarded alimony by the court, which they are not able to pay – it reaches hundreds of thousands of rubles a year. And without these payments, children are not returned.
At the same time, traditional large families as role models should cease to be poor, which often happens today: these are literally synonymous words.
So it turns out that a large family, which we should strive for, is the most vulnerable category of the population. And who would want to get into this bondage under the current state of affairs? Here you won’t get by with “chastity T-shirts” and “chastity rings.”
