A judge of the 10th Arbitration Court of Appeal of Moscow suffered from virtual scammers. According to the usual scheme, they contacted her on behalf of the chairman of the court and stole a large sum. But this time the scammers also deprived the woman of her car.
As MK learned, the criminals began “divorcing” the servant of Themis with money on January 22. At first, the chairman allegedly announced from his Telegram account that the woman would be called by a curator from the FSB. Then the swindler, following a previously tried scheme, contacted the judge and stated that a loan had been issued in his name to transfer money to Ukraine, and to stop these actions it was necessary to transfer all the money to other accounts.
Subsequently, in February, the scammers warned the woman that she should sell her Honda Pilot car – the transaction would be fictitious, and the car would then be returned to her. A real person came to the deal. The car did not start, but the swindler offered his repair services and brought a device with which he managed to start the foreign car. As a result, the judge sold the Honda and only later realized that she had been deceived. The total amount of damage amounted to 6 million 121 thousand rubles.
